Jüdische Staatsperspektiven: Kosmopolitismus, Assimilationismus und Zionismus

Politisches Denken und politische Praxis von Juden und Jüdinnen haben in der sozial- und geschichtswissenschaftlichen Judentumsforschung nur marginale Bedeutung. Die vermeintliche „Politiklosigkeit“ des Judentums wurde damit zumeist fortgeschrieben. Massive Politisierung des Judentums durch Emanzipationsbestrebungen und Ausformung moderner (National-)Staatlichkeit machte ab dem 18. Jahrhundert auch die Frage nach Staatsperspektiven und Nationskonzepten virulent. Dem Konnex von Staatstransformationen, Nationalismen, Emporkommen von Antisemitismus und jüdischen Staatsvisionen wird daher in diesem Beitrag nachgegangen. Dazu wird das Verhältnis von Juden und Jüdinnen zu den Nations- und Volksdiskursen im Untersuchungszeitraum geklärt und das Spektrum jüdischer Staatsperspektiven, festgemacht an den Politikkonzepten von Kosmopolitismus, Assimiliationismus und Zionismus, erörtert. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf Mittel- und Osteuropa und hier in erster Linie auf deutschsprachigen Diskursen.Downloads
